786 waiting to leave for North Wales. 12/11/2002

Out of the gloom came Fragonset locomotives 47488 and 47355. The latter was looking very smart in what I assume is the new livery - the camera was not ready so the shots are somewhat hurried. 12/11/2002

The sun was also a pain giving massive light contrasts. 12/11/2002

 1. The 9.21 Holyhead-London HST service arrived with 43158 "Dartmoor The Pony Express" in charge. The leading power car was seemingly short on coolant and the "HST Coolant Trolley" was assembled to replenish the radiators. Interestingly, the coolant transfer pump was powered by the locomotive's electrical supply.

2. While this procedure was being carried out the engine was switched off, presumably to stop any pumping activity, and was then restarted with much clag.

3. Eventually the train left for London with 43197 "Railway Magazine" bringing up the rear. 12/11/2002
