1. The 9.21 Holyhead-London
HST service arrived with 43158 "Dartmoor The Pony
Express" in charge. The leading power car was seemingly
short on coolant and the "HST Coolant Trolley" was
assembled to replenish the radiators. Interestingly, the coolant
transfer pump was powered by the locomotive's electrical supply.
2. While this procedure was being
carried out the engine was switched off, presumably to stop any
pumping activity, and was then restarted with much clag.
3. Eventually the train left for
London with 43197 "Railway Magazine"
bringing up the rear. 12/11/2002
