 A green, lean machine or tilting trains on the North Wales Coast!!! 47816 leaning on the super elevation as it enters Colwyn Bay with the 13.20 Holyhead-London. Note the boarded up windows on the foot bridge that First North Western promised to repair before they vacated the coast line last year! Never trust a TOC? 29/6/2004

 47787 "Windsor Castle" entering Crewe station with the 09.25 Holyhead-London Euston. This Virgin service undergoes a locomotive change at Crewe when it converts to AC power. 14/6/2004

 Waiting in the wings was 87013 "John o' Gaunt" parked up with 87002 in Porterbrook livery. 14/6/2004

 The 87 ran out onto the Chester line before reversing into platform 12 to couple up for the journey South to London. 14/6/2004
