Kidsgrove station and the low Winter Sun is causing problems, time to move! 19/12/2009

Probably the last local steam charter for 2009 and 6201 "Princess Elizabeth" burst from under the road bridge at Kidsgrove with the "Christmas Thames-Dee" en route for Chester via Crewe. 19/12/2009

Lighting conditions were difficult with the bright Winter Sun looking straight down the lens, plenty of white frost and a heavy mist in the cutting. However, you can't mistake the Stanier outline as 6201 hits the substantial pointwork to enter the ex-NSR line to Crewe. 19/12/2009
