CREWE - CHESTER -- BANGOR - HOLYHEAD
 MONTHLY REPORTS
NOVEMBER 2013 - PAGE ONE

A colourful late Autumn deep in the Cheshire countryside and an unidentified Super Voyager heads for Crewe. 30/10/2013

The last day of November had promised to see both surviving Britannia class locomotives visiting Chester but, sadly, the prototype was substituted and so a planned trip to the ex-County Town (don't get me going on that one!) was cancelled. The substitute class five double header working the Cathedrals Express was still worth seeing as was the sight of 70013 running in the opposite direction. 30/10/2013

44871 was leading 45407 as the train cruised towards Chester with the low Sun catching the exhaust. 30/10/2013

Unfortunately the Britannia was reported to be running one hour down in South Wales so, pleasant as the day was, I was not prepared to hang around just in case it turned up. 30/10/2013
