The Northern Belle appeared through the greenery - as it started to rain!
Sandbach and 47813 dragged two returning class 68's running Immingham-Crewe.

The "Belle" emerged from the Middlewich branch on its return trip to London Euston.
The train was too long to fit in the platform even with the lead locomotive at the extreme end.
The train had a wait of about 20 minutes before leaving, this being the reason.
Crossing over, probably in order to access the independent lines.
The Northern Belle then disappeared behind the vegetation.
