 CREWE 1st FEBRUARY 2019

90045 leading 90043 into platform 12 with a northbound freight, for a crew change.

The Network Rail measurement train was waiting on the UDL with 43062 "John Armitt" leading and 43014
"The Railway Observer" trailing. The unit later headed South out of the station.

66418 "PATRIOT in memory of fallen railway employees" entered platform 12 with a Plasser & Theurer UHM-3 material conveyor and hopper unit. It then ran round to leave heading South.

It's easy to be at the wrong place at Crewe station, such was the case when 45231 "Sherwood Forester" was pulled out of the diesel depot so a crude shot from afar. I thought the engine was dead until someone on the footplate sounded the whistle.

Class 37 No 37884 "Cepheus", in Rail Operations Group livery, came off the Shrewsbury line with horns blaring before entering the diesel depot yard.

Having been held outside the station for some time, 68030 "Black Douglas" passed through the station on the UDL.

A4 pacific 60009 "Union of South Africa" entered platform 12 in order to take on water. The locomotive was running from Bury to Stewarts Lane.

Once again I was in the wrong place as 60009 left.......

......as I was when a Trans Pennine liveried 68032 passed through with a TPE unit.

 My chariot home.
