Heywood station on the ELR and class 45 number 45108 was running round its train but there seemed to be a slight problem with the crossover pointwork.
Sorted.
Arrival at Bury.
Nice touch.
A few shots in the driving rain while waiting for the next train.
Ex L&Y loco 52322 arrived from Rawtenstall.
Class 25 24054/D5054 waited for the arrival of 45108 and the next train from Heywood, after which, the pair double-headed to Rawtenstall.
"City of Wells" waited to leave with the dining train.
At Rawtenstall, the class 24 ran round for the trip to Heywood while the class 45 remained on the rear.
Heywood with the 45 now leading.
Departure with the class 24 on the rear, maybe this procedure was to avoid the troublesome point?
