 37407 (leading loco) has been on the scrap line at Crewe for some time, complete with nameplates, but these have now been removed which does not bode well for the future. However, 37413 similarly had its plates removed but is now back in service (see below). 23/08/2000

 45157 (45407) leaves Crewe with the Finsbury Park-Holyhead "Ynys Mon Express" steam hauled from Crewe to Holyhead. 16th August 2000. This one survived......
 

...this one won't. 37037 is dragged North through Crewe behind 92030 and 92035 to take its chances at the Wigan recycling point after being on active service in France. 14/08/2000
