 Crewe Diesel depot shows little activity these days and, on this occasion, the only locomotives in service were 37682 "Hartlepool Pipe Mill" and what is believed to be 47732 "Restormel" recently returned to traffic. 9/3/2004

 47776 "Respected" arrived with the 07.45 Holyhead-Crewe and prepared to run round its train. 9/33/2004

 90011 "West Coast Rail 250" pushing South with the 06.20 Glasgow-Euston.. 9/3/2004

87004 "Britannia" leaving for Liverpool. With 70000 in the LNWR workshops and a "royal" class 67 reputedly being given the same name, how many Britannias can there be? 9/3/2004

 Riviera Trains' class 47's 47839 and 47853 head for the LNWR workshops at Crewe. 839 later returned North. 9/3/2004

 47776 leaving Crewe with the 10.30 Crewe-Holyhead. 9/3/2004

 Just behind the 47 was the 10.45 Virgin working to Holyhead with 43065 leading 43092. 9/3/2004

EWS on passenger as 90028 "Hertfordshire Railtours" pushes the 10.35 Liverpool-Euston into platform 5. 9/3/2004

 47750 brings the morning Bangor-Manchester ecs working round the curve past the LNWR workshops at Crewe. Just visible, on the right, are 70000 "Britannia" and 46115 "Scots Guardsman" patiently waiting for their promised return to steam. 9/3/2004

 Something has been leaking in platform 12! 9/3/2004

47790 on thunderbird duty in bay platform 3. 3/3/2004

 Ex-FGW liveried 47816 waits for work at Crewe. 3/3/2004

 57002 "Freightliner Phoenix" sits in bay platform 7 waiting for a pathway to Basford Hall sidings. 3/3/2004

Freightliner's 86632 and 86612 head for the IEMD 3/3/2004

 87027 "Wolf of Badenoch" heads South with, presumably, a DVT connection problem. 3/3/2004
