 Presumably the tender from "Boscastle"

The bridge over the Grand Union Canal is in poor condition but will be sorted as the railway forges North to meet up wit the "other" Great Central Railway (Nottingham). There is currently a fund running to raise £1M to finance the replacement of a bridge over the Midland Main Line .

The view from the canal bridge showing how the embankment is currently missing and will be replaced as part of the reunification scheme.

 Hmmm...

The Jinty was still trundling around.

 The Windcutter project.

The end of the day and at Quorn, 777 was entering the station.

It was all happening and trains were constantly appearing, it was truly amazing.

1501 and Dinmore Manor were repeating their dual act and making music as they departed for Leicester North.

...and still the Jinty was active.

The 8F drew slowly into the station with a mixed freight and just as it cleared the platform it was opened up to provide a fantastic display of steam power in the evening sunshine.

The 8F clanked away into the distance just as its classmates did all those years ago - pure magic.
Thanks GCR it was a day to remember forever.
