5043 "EARL of MOUNT EDGCUMBE" entering Chester station with The Shropshire Express
running Tyseley-Chester-Shrewsbury-Tyseley.
As well as all other services running into Chester, the Merseyrail services were very busy
with people heading for a meeting of Chester Races.
After disgorging its passengers, the train was reversed onto Chester East Junction.
Returning to run onto the holding sidings at the rear of the station.
A pause while the points were changed by hand.
GUV W96100 now converted into a water carrier.
The engine was paused but most passengers walking past never gave it a second glance.
The engine was detached and headed for Chester West Junction.
5043 then reversed past its train before returning behind the train for servicing before leaving later in the day.
