 CHESTER, APRIL 27th 2019

Chester and the arrival of 7029 "Clun Castle" with The Chester Venturer
running Dorridge-Crewe-Chester-Wrexham-Dorridge.

On the rear was class 47, D1755 - the white dots are raindrops cascading off the roof as storm Hannah hit.

MerseyRail 507032 waits to depart for Merseyside.

 175106 departed for Manchester.

The Castle, with train, was towed out to the holding sidings by the class 47.

 Entering the sidings for servicing.

The locomotive detached and pulled forward.......

.......before reversing to take on coal and water.

 Units waiting to enter service.

 Back to Crewe.

My chariot home arrived from Liverpool.

On the way out of Crewe I noticed what appeared to be an LNER tender parked on the Heritage Centre - which one?
