GREAT CENTRAL RAILWAY JUNE 6th 2021

Great to be back riding the rail at the GCR's First Hurrah.

The class 25 was travelling up and down with a demonstration freight.

The first train of the day was scheduled to be hauled by 48305 but it "broke" so 46521 was substituted. However, shortly after we departed Quorn for Leicester North, the 8F appeared.

A short stop at Loughborough which was in sombre mood because of the reduction in activity and the weeds are beginning to show but I'm sure they will soon be suitably treated.

6521 was preparing for its next run, it looks good in green.

The DMU was active throughout the day.

73156 parking up at Leicester North to wait for the next train.

A final view from the bridge as the DMU waits to depart South from Quorn.
A great day all round and enormous credit to the way everything was organised.
