CREWE STATION
November 15th 2000

Arriving at the station I noticed 37401 "Mary Queen of Scots" waiting to come off the Manchester line with a Regional Railways liveried 37 in tow. It could only be 37429 "Eisteddfod Genedlaethol" so I waited and caught them both heading South, later to return to Crewe Diesel Depot. 15/11/2000

Next to arrive was Class 90 number 90030 "Crewe Railway Works" named earlier this year at the Crewe Works open day. There was an exchange of drivers and the freight train set off South. 15/11/2000

1K57 the 07.49 Holyhead-Crewe due to arrive at 09.56 appeared at 10.35, this was the reason I had gone to Crewe because yesterday the Class 37 Group reported 37418 "East Lancashire Railway" as running on the coast. This is a former Coast Line loco that transferred to Scotland some time ago and returned for one of the rugby specials. 15/11/2000

90142 in "Freightliner" livery appeared on a London Euston - Liverpool Lime Street working. Essentially rigged for freight work, this engine was recorded on a London-Holyhead train earlier this year. 15/11/2000

1G96 the 08.47 Holyhead - Birmingham train arrived in Platform 12 behind 37421. The train was running 10 minutes down. 15/11/2000
